Alice Conroy, trading as The Banner Studio, is the data controller.

When you send a banner enquiry, we collect:
- your name and email address
- your event date and preferred banner size
- the themes, colours, names and other details you include in your message
You must provide your name, email address and banner details so we can respond. Your event date and preferred banner size are optional.
If you place an order, we may also keep order, design, payment and collection records.
Our hosting provider may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details to operate and protect the website.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and check availability
- prepare, agree and complete your banner order
- manage payment and collection
- keep records required for accounting or legal purposes
- protect the website and enquiry form from misuse
We do not sell your information. We do not use enquiry details for marketing without your permission.
Our lawful basis
We use your information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to fulfil an order you place with us.
We may keep some records to meet legal and accounting obligations. We rely on legitimate interests when we secure and administer the website.
Who we share information with
We share information only where needed with service providers that help us run the website and respond to enquiries. These include:
- Netlify, which hosts the website and processes form submissions
- our email provider
- payment and banking providers when you place an order
We may also share information where the law requires it. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom using recognised data protection safeguards.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiries that do not become orders for no longer than 12 months.
We may keep order and payment records for longer where tax, accounting or other laws require it. We delete information when we no longer need it.

- correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- delete or restrict how we use your information
- provide information in a portable format
- stop processing based on legitimate interests
